see www.TotalTraffic.com/coverageareas

  1. Before you use it register at Garmin.com then update the software and maps.(2-5hrs) and it may take 5 minutes to locate a satellite on your first use.
  2. The GPS come set in safe mode and therefore won't allow you to operate if the car is moving, but an option pops up to disable safe mode when it happens, once disabled it will never reappear.
  3. On Garmin support page is the calibration instructions if you need it. or ..1. make sure device is off....2... press and hold the top left corner while turning on the unit...3... keep holding for 30 sec. till small dot appears...4... release and touch the dots when they appear...5.. when complete the message "Calibration Complete" appears, touch "ok"
  4. The Garmin Portable Friction Mount is much better and more stable than the TT beanbag mount it also makes it easier to see and read the screen when it's mounted on the dash.
  5. For Europe - download a map from Garmins' site. The upload will take about 30 minutes and if you want to keep U.S. maps on there also, you will need to put in a micro SD card as there won't be enough space for both.
  6. Use Google Maps to preload contact address in the GPS using the Garmin Communicator Plugin for IE, it's a good way to find the correct address before you need it. USB Cable is included.
  7. To adjust screen brightness, push the power button quickly and up pops up a screen to adjust it
  8. Holding the back arrow will bring you to the main menu.
  9. With your GPS plugged into the computer- go to Google Maps and send a location to your GPS so that the address will be in "My Favorites"

Just tap the screen for your exact coordinates to find the nearest address/intersection, and closest gas station and hospital or emergency station
